Academic Upgrading is a tuition-free program that provides you with the admission requirements needed for undergraduate certificate, diploma or advanced diploma college programs or workplace skills needed for employment.

The program is recognized by all colleges in Ontario and is tailored to meet your specific educational needs.
Academic upgrading does not meet the admission requirements for Sheridan’s degree or post-graduate programs. For further support in meeting the admission requirements for these programs, please contact the Admissions office.

Admission Requirements
Do you meet the requirements?
These courses are restricted to students with a College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) Letter of Assessment and/or Program Coordinator’s Approval. Students who meet this requirement, and are interested in taking these courses, are asked to complete the Expression of Interest Form.
Program Fees
Fees below are approximate:
- Term 1 Domestic Course Tuition: $2,750
- Term 2 Domestic Course Tuition: $1,200
- Textbook Fees: $550 (includes 3 online textbooks and access to Evolve elearning site activities)
- Additional Materials: students will require a lab kit for this program. (A materials fee of $141.26 is included in the tuition, but is non-refundable after the first class.)
